To start this dessert filled week out, I have a delicious recipe to share: Gooey Nutella Microwave Mug Cake . This decadent cake is made in a coffee mug with 3 basic ingredients and cooks in one minute in the microwave! It’s an easy single treat or make a few in just minutes!
Mug cakes have always been a favorite of mine, especially to make with my kids.
For this dessert I use Nutella as the base but I have also made peanut butter an chocolate chip cookie mug cakes too.
Nutella Microwave Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 1 egg beaten
- 4 {heaping} tablespoons Nutella
- 2 tbsp flour
- Dixie Crystals powdered sugar for garnish
- 1 strawberry sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Add an egg to a bowl and whisk until beaten.
- Add Nutella and flour to the bowl then mix well until smooth.
- Spray the mug lightly with non stick spray.
- Pour the batter into the mug.
- Cook in the mug in the microwave for 1 minute.
- Let cool for 1 minute then remove from the microwave.
- Top with powdered sugar and a sliced strawberry.
- Serve in the mug with a spoon and dig in!
For The Love of Food Blog
Add 1 egg, 4 tbsp Nutella, and 2 tbsp flour to a bowl.
Mix well.
Whisk until smooth.
Spray a mug with nonstick spray then pour the batter in.
It will not fill the mug all the way up but the cake will rise when it is cooked.
Cook in the microwave for 1 minute.
Serve in the mug with a spoon and dig in!
