It is finally warm and sunny outside and that means we spend a whole lot of time in our backyard. Whether we are grilling, gardening, partying, or playing we love being outside in our yard having fun in the sunshine. Today I am sharing my Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwiches, which are the perfect summertime messy but good meal to serve at your backyard parties all season long!
We love entertaining in our backyard and now that the weather is warm and the Texas sun is out we are ready to entertain. We love grilling but sometimes I like to use my slow cooker or oven to bake a simple family meal and we enjoy eating with friends and family on our backyard patio. Then, of course, we have s’mores in our fire pit! That’s my idea of a perfect summer meal!
I have had a Sam’s Club membership since before I was married with kids but now that I am a Mama I shop there all the time! I love the bulk items and great savings and now that summer is almost here we shop for all our backyard entertaining supplies!
For my Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich recipe I bought all my ingredients at Sam’s Club including Tyson Chicken breasts, Ball Park Tailgaters Crustini Buns, and Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise.
It really saves me time and money to buy in bulk at Sam’s Club!

The main ingredient for these mouthwatering sandwiches is chicken. I like using big tender chicken breasts and these Tyson All Natural Chicken Breasts are my favorite. They come individually frozen in a resealable bag which makes it easy for me to cook a few at a time.
Us Southern’s love our mayo and let’s be honest I use it in A LOT of my recipes!
Hellmann’s brand is tried and true and perfect for coating my Ranch Chicken.
These Ball Park Tailgaters Crustini Buns are my new favorite for sandwiches and burgers. I usually use Ball Park hot dog buns but this was my first time trying this style and I loved them! They toasted up nicely in the broiler and were not dry or bland like some buns tend to be. Bonus: they held up nicely to my big ol’ chicken breasts and did not fall apart or get soggy.
I defrosted my chicken and set it out in a dish ready to coat with my ranch topping.
I love using mayo for all of my dips and spreads. These simple ranch topping for chicken requires just two ingredients: Hellmann’s mayo and ranch seasoning.
In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and ranch seasoning.
Stir until creamy.
Add breadcrumbs to a large plate and season with salt and pepper.
Dip the chicken in the ranch, spreading to cover on all sides.
Place the chicken in the bread crumbs and press to evenly coated.
Place the chicken on a greased or lined baking sheet
{not a baking dish like pictured, it will not get crispy on the bottom}.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until the crust is golden and the juices run clear.
I toast my buns for a couple minutes under the broiler.
Add the toasted buns to a plate and spread additional mayo on the top buns if desired.
Remove from oven and place cheese slices on top of chicken.
Place one chicken breast on top of each bottom bun.
Add 2 slices of bacon on top then add the top bun.
Repeat with remaining chicken sandwiches.
Place on a serving tray with lots of napkins and serve outside for a delicious messy but good summer meal!
