Red Velvet and Cream Cheese Oreo Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 bar {4 ounces} cream cheese softened
- 1 stick {8 tbsp} butter softened
- ¾ cup Dixie Crystals light brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 12 Red Velvet Oreos crushed
- 3-4 Red Velvet Oreos broken into small pieces {for topping}
- red food coloring optional
Instructions
- Add cream cheese, softened butter, and brown sugar to a mixer bowl.
- Blend on medium speed until smooth.
- With the mixer running, slowly add flour, a little at a time until fully combined.
- If you want a more pronounced red color, add 10-20 drops red food coloring and stir in.
- Pour crushed Oreos into the bowl and gently stir in by hand.
- Scoop the dough ball onto a sheet of plastic wrap and wrap up.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Scoop and roll batter into small balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Gently press to flatten cookies if you like them more flat and large. If you want small round cookies leave them as balls.
- Press a few pieces of broken Oreos on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 12 minutes then let cool slightly on the baking sheet before removing to a rack to cool completely.

When I saw these Oreo cookies on the shelf I knew I wanted to make a valentine’s themed dessert with them! I am a sucker for the fun seasonal flavored Oreo cookies. What is your favorite flavor?
I crush 12 Red Velvet Oreo cookies in a food processor until crushed.
I leave a few chunks and cream centers for texture.
Add cream cheese, softened butter, and brown sugar to a mixer bowl.
Blend on medium speed until smooth.
With the mixer running, slowly add flour, a little at a time until fully combined.
If you want a more pronounced red color, add 10-20 drops red food coloring and stir in.
Pour crushed Oreos into the bowl and gently stir in by hand.
Scoop the dough ball onto a sheet of plastic wrap and wrap up.
Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Unwrap the dough and using a small scoop and your hands, roll batter into small balls.
Place on a lined baking sheet spaced apart.
Gently press to flatten cookies if you like them more flat and large.
If you want small round cookies leave them as balls.
Press a few pieces of broken Oreos on top of each cookie.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
Let cool slightly on the baking sheet before removing to a rack to cool completely.

How interesting!! I would have never thought to use a cookie to make another cookie!! The new Red Velvet Oreos look interesting… they are on the "to try" list in our house, but of course, the Mega Stuffed and the Most Stuffed had to come first. I guess that happens with all boys. 😉
