Did you know? Natural pumpkin is great for canine digestion and most dogs love the taste! So I created these healthy Cheesy Pup-kin Dog Treats for my boys. Guess what?! They loved them 😉
Today I have two fun things to share with you.
First, y’all know I am an animal lover and you’ve seen my two pups, Charlie and Dylan throughout my blog. I had grown up with dogs and my Dad even worked for the Humane Society back in the day.
So when I first moved out in college I knew I wanted a dog of my own. I adopted Charlie a few months later and he’s been my sweet boy ever since! Dylan was a rescue that was given to me a couple years later when I moved to South Florida. He got along so well with Charlie it was a match made in puppy Heaven and I just couldn’t say no!
:EXCITING NEWS: I am thrilled to share with you that I have teamed up with Purina® Pro
Plan®
Plan®
to promote their Leash On 30 Day Challenge with MapMyFitness.com.
Here are my two happy, full of energy pups, Charlie (a beagle) and Dylan (a cocker spaniel) :
They go on two long walks a day since we live in a duplex type community. We also let them out to play in the open backyard and try to take them on car rides and to the dog park at least once a week. Now that it’s finally starting to cool down I can walk them longer and I like to take them to the nature trail and golf course for a change in scenery this time of year. I am excited to participate in the Leash On 30 Day Challenge and log all the activities I do with my dogs! You should join too!
I created my profile a few days ago and I am truly enjoying this interactive site that really encourages me to get outside (in this lovely Fall weather, I might add), get active, and to bring my pups along!

Cheesy Pup-kin Homemade Dog Treats
Secondly, I had to share a homemade dog treat recipe with y’all today since we were talking about my pups! My boys love treats and even though their active I have to cut down on the unhealthy snacks. So I came up with these dog treats using pumpkin (since I always have tons of cans of pumpkin around my house this time of year!). Even better: Natural pumpkin
is great for canine digestion and most dogs love the taste! I made these treats on the large side and baked them until they are crunchy. Customize them to your dogs liking. Bake for 5 minutes less for more soft, chewy treats and roll the dough into small balls instead of using a scoop for small bite size treats.

Thank you for taking some time to write this post. Taking care of your pet is not an easy task. Those who consider bringing a puppy in the house need to think if they have what it takes to look after a new family member. To be more exact, you need to be ready not only to play with it, but also to control the quality of the food you provide. See more http://dogsaholic.com/food_treats/10-dog-cookie-recipes.html
