Ava and Stella loved mixing up the watermelon sorbet with me on our Mommy and Me Time video last week!

Summertime Watermelon Sorbet
Ingredients
- 5-6 cups cubed seedless watermelon about 1/4 of a watermelon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
- Add cubed watermelon to a large bowl and place in the freezer for 1-2 hours. This is optional but helps the watermelon to blend better instead of getting mushy.
- Bring water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- When you are ready to make the sorbet add cubed watermelon, sugar water, and lemon juice to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth then pour into a loaf pan.
- Cover and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours up to overnight.
- When you are ready to serve remove from the freezer about 10-15 minutes early to soften then scoop into cups or cones and enjoy.

Start with a juicy, ripe seedless watermelon. You need about 5 cups cubed which was 1/4 of a large melon.
I placed the cubes in the freezer for a couple hours so they are icy and not mushy when blended.

This delicious dessert can be made with most soft fruits. My kids love cherry sorbet too!
