This easy summer recipe is inspired by my favorite Bananas Foster dessert.
Simply brush fresh pineapple with a brown sugar mixture and caramelize in the air fryer. Serve with ice cream for a tasty tropical treat!

Air Fryer Caramelized Pineapple Foster
Ingredients
- 1 large pineapple
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2-3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Start by cutting the outside rind off the pineapple then slice into approx 8 slices. Remove the center core to make rings.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
- Preparing in batches, brush melted butter on 3-4 pineapple slices and sprinkle on brown sugar mixture.
- Flip over and add to the other side.
- Add the prepared pineapple to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
- Flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Repeat with remaining pineapple.
- Serve warm in a bowl with a scoop of ice cream on the side.
- Add any remaining brown sugar butter sauce "drippings" from the air fryer as a drizzle on top.

Melt 2-3 tbsp unsalted butter. You don’t need much but if you want extra to drizzle I do 3 tbsp.
Preparing in batches, brush melted butter on 3-4 pineapple slices.
Sprinkle on brown sugar mixture. Flip over and add to the other side.
Add the prepared pineapple to the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Repeat with remaining pineapple.
Serve warm in a bowl with a scoop of ice cream on the side.

Okay, so the first I thought was pineapple! YES! The second thing that came to my mind was I can make this today because it uses the air fryer and my oven element died last night. Dessert today is now a plan!
