Today I am sharing my homemade Cherry Sorbet recipe. Fresh cherries are frozen then blended with simple syrup and lemon juice for a delicious, fresh, and icy cool treat to enjoy on a hot summer day!

Homemade Cherry Sorbet
Ingredients
- 1 1 /2 - 2 lbs pitted cherries frozen
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- First make simple syrup. In a small sauce add water and sugar and bring to a boil.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved then remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Add frozen, pitted cherries to a blender or large food processor.
- Add in simple syrup and lemon juice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a loaf pan, smoothing out the top and place in the freezer {for at least a few hours or overnight if you have time}.
- Remove from freezer and scoop into cones or cups.

I love using plump and sweet cherries in recipes all summer long!
After washing you need to pit your cherries.
To easily pit cherries, poke a straw through the center and it will remove the pit and stem.
I added my cherries to a large freezer bag and placed in the freezer overnight.
Once frozen, add to a large food processor.
Pour in simple syrup
{which is one cup water and one cup sugar boiled together and cooled}.
Pour in lemon juice.
Now time to blend up!
Blend on high speed in a food processor or blender until smooth.
Look at that gorgeous color!
Pour into a loaf pan, smoothing out the top and place in the freezer {for at least a few hours or overnight if you have time}.
Remove from the freezer and scoop out into cones or bowls.
It is perfectly smooth and soft and delicious!
