My little princesses love dressing up so for the 4th of July this year we did a Patriotic Princess photo shoot and made our own crowns to wear.
These DIY princess crowns are made in minutes with garland and ribbon and are a fun craft to make this summer!

What you need:
- curling ribbon in red, white, and blue
- star garland, printed or multiple colors like blue, silver, and red
- wire cutters
- scissors
Directions:
- Start by wrapping garland around your princess’ head to make it the correct size.
- Twist the end of the garland to form a circle crown.
- I continue to wrap garland 3 more times to make it thicker and sturdier.
- Cut the garland with wire cutters, being sure to tightly wrap the end pieces so they do not poke out.
- Since I used multiple colors of garland, I then wrapped a circle of blue and a circle of red into the crown.
- Next, knot 6-9 strands of multiple colors of ribbon to the back and use scissors to curl the ends.
- Optional: Ava added a clip on princess bow to the back of hers.
All you need for these pretty crowns are wire star garland and ribbon! Anyone can make them!
