I have always been an avid reader and when I came across my first foodie mystery novel a few years ago, I was hooked! Everyone loves a good murder mystery but throw in a chef heroine and bonus recipes and you’ve got the perfect fun novel to relax and read {and then bake up some new recipes too}.
I was sent a copy of Joanne Fluke‘s new novel, Double Fudge Brownie Murder and after reading the first chapter I knew right away I would love this series.
There is a new mystery and introduction of characters in each book so you don’t have to start from the beginning of the series which is nice. even though, I have already bought book one and plan to read them all! And every book is packed full with delicious recipes from cookies and cakes to appetizers and sandwiches! It’s like a novel and cookbook in one!
After reading Double Fudge Brownie Murder {finished in one weekend, by the way}, I picked out a handful of recipes from the book that I wanted to try. The first recipe, of course, was the title recipe: Double Fudge Brownies. I was skeptical at first, I mean how good could the brownies really be? But dang, they were Ah-mazing! Seriously the best. brownies. ever.
Fudgy and gooey, these moist brownies were a hit with everyone who tried them. Even better they are topped with a sweet chocolate icing {truly the ‘icing on the cake’} that made them out of this world.
Scroll down for the recipe and enter to win a copy of Double Fudge Brownie Murder.
Don’t worry I didn’t stop with just one recipe!
Here are the other mouthwatering Joanne Fluke recipes I created:

Oh my gosh y’all I couldn’t help myself, I devoured ate one of these {or maybe two} as soon as they were {almost) cooled and I was in chocolate heaven! They earned a thumbs up from Ava and Ashton too and all our friends who were lucky enough to grab one up before they were gone!
