Two and a half years
ago I decided last minute to attend a Cloth Diapering event with my then 6
month old daughter Ava near our home at Ft Polk, LA. We had a great time at the
event and met some wonderful new friends including Ms Kandi, the local Music Together
instructor. She had a booth set up and even did a demonstration with music from the class. I entered to win a gift certificate towards a semester of
Music Together classes and guess what?! Ava and I won! I say Ava and I because
attending Music Together classes is fun for both my daughter and I and it’s
something we both look forward to every week.

I cannot say enough positive things about our weekly Music Together classes. We love our outgoing, always smiling teacher Ms. Kandi and I have referred numerous friends with little ones to the class. After starting the class, my little Ava, who was around 8-9 months, started clapping and humming. Then soon after she started walking and she gradually learned to say more and more words. I definitely believe that she reached these milestones early because of her interactions with other children and the music we heard and sang in Music Together class.
Every semester, Music Together classes feature a specific instrument, such as bongos or fiddle, and your child is given a music CD filled with songs {some familiar and some new} that highlight that instrument. The songs include our favorite welcome and goodbye songs played in each class along with a couple lullaby songs and lots of upbeat singalong songs. You are given a CD to take home along with an illustrated songbook and exclusive access to digital
music downloads and bonus activities online.
The semesters run 8-10 weeks and you attend a 45 minute class once a week. If a class takes place during a holiday, like Valentine’s Day or Halloween, the class teacher may even encourage the kids to dress up {our favorite part}! I know you and your child will love Music Together classes as much as we do! But if you would like to try a free class before committing just search

Almost 3 years of Music Together memories!
Ava’s first semester when she was not even 1 yet and just learning to walk!
Her favorite part was “playing” the instruments ….
and Ms. Kandi’s guitar with her best bud Charlotte.
All decked out for Valentine’s Day 2013 and 2015,
Dancing is another fun part of class, especially with bells on!
Laying down during lullaby time.
Now Stella has joined in on the fun!
She loves music already.
Siblings under 8 months get to attend class for free with their older sibling.
Halloween 2015- my little cupcakes loved dressing up for music class!
Si many great memories made at Music Together!
My girls love to read their Music Together storybooks at home and
we always have the CD playing in the car!

Ava requested Strawberry. You need about 12.

set out 12 ice cream cones upside down.
Spray with the silver Colormist and completely cover them.
Let dry.
If you used cupcake liners remove them and discard.
Frost your cupcakes with a dark frosting such as chocolate.
Now it’s the fun {and messy} part!
Pour your black sugar sprinkles in a bowl.
Carefully dip each cupcake, frosting side down, in the bowl of black sugar.
You want to completely cover the frosting.
When your cones are dry, set each cupcake in the silver cones
{you may have to trim some of the bottom off in an angle to make them fit}.
And that’s all there is to it!
Set them out for your music lovin’ party goers and watch them disappear!
My little cutie couldn’t wait to try out her new microphone!
We sang a few songs ….
and then she couldn’t help but sneak a bite!
