Bold Roast Coffee Flavored Breakfast Syrup
Makes 1 ¼ cup
Ingredients

cup
strong brewed Coffee {I used Dunkin Donuts Dunkin’ Dark® coffee }
1
cup
brown sugar
½
vanilla bean
split or 1 tsp vanilla extract
1
tbsp
butter
optional
Instructions
Add freshly brewed coffee, brown sugar, and ½ a split open vanilla bean to a saucepan and heat over medium.
Whisk until smooth and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Butter adds another layer of richness to this syrup so I like to add 1 tbsp at the end and whisk in until melted.
If you are using vanilla extract add it with the butter at the end.
Pour into a jar and serve warm over French toast, pancakes, or waffles.
